Portrait Session Pricing:

January 1, 2016: pricing has been updated to include ALL high resolution digital images in every session fee. Pricing is the same as it has always been, but now it is simplified so you only pay once (previously you paid for your session and digital  images separately). Why this change? To meet the needs of my clients, the world has gone digital and the vast majority of clients want all the digital images from their session. Also, this simplifies things for me. Now I can spend more time processing your images and eliminate the extra step of following up on digital image orders.

What am I paying for when I book a photo session? The time and creative talent of the photographer, consultation before our session to make sure we capture just what you are hoping for (please share any photos you’ve collected of poses or session ideas to inspire and guide our session), access to the highest quality equipment and editing software, travel cost to and from location (up to 10 miles each way), and the transformation of digital images into works of art that can fill the walls of your home with joyful memories!

Full Session Plus: $400

What is included: a 90-120 minute session on location. A minimum of 80 individually edited photos in a password-protected gallery on this website. The session includes all digital high resolution images with print rights, this means that all digital images are yours to keep, print, share and treasure always. All photos are delivered  straight to your email in a zip file to download, no need for CD's.

What types of sessions are best suited for a "Full Session Plus"?

Newborn sessions (newborn sessions may run longer than 120 minutes, depending how cooperative the newborn is), Senior Portrait sessions with multiple outfit changes or location changes (within 10 miles), Engagement sessions (where you want a more unique location and broader range of images), Multi-Generation Family photos.

Full Session: $300

What is included: a 60 minute session on location. A minimum of 40 individually edited photos in a password-protected gallery on this website. The session includes all digital high resolution images with print rights, this means that all digital images are yours to keep, print, share and treasure always. All photos are delivered  straight to your email in a zip file to download, no need for CD's.

What types of sessions are best suited for a "Full Session"?

Family sessions (limited to immediate family members only, for extended family sessions please see "Full Session Plus"), Senior Portraits sessions (with 1 outfit change and 1 location), Engagement sessions, and most other occasions.

Mini Session: $150

What is included: a 20 minute session on location. A minimum of 10 individually edited photos in a password-protected gallery on this website. The session includes all digital high resolution images with print rights, this means that all digital images are yours to keep, print, share and treasure always. All photos are delivered  straight to your email in a zip file to download, no need for CD's.

What types of sessions are best suited for a "Mini Session"?

Mini Sessions are best suited for simple occasions, such as capturing a Birthday, a Back-to-School photo, Business Head Shots, or a quick Christmas Card photo. Mini Sessions are not intended to include extensive posing or a large variety of images. Only one child or couple/group pictured together per Mini Session. Full Sessions are required to capture adequate images for most occasions, such as engagement, newborn, senior, or  family portraits. If you have any question about how long it will take to capture the photos you desire, please contact me and we can discuss which option will best fit your needs.

Print Prices:

5x7 = $4.95

8x10 = $9.95

11x14 = $11.95

If you choose to order prints elsewhere keep in mind that these high resolution photos always look best printed at a lab that specializes in professional photography to ensure correct color, tone, quality, and finish. Any guarantee of quality is forfeited if prints are ordered outside of this site.

<b>What to expect:</b>

Lots of fun, and no pressure! I hope to capture moments in your life that you can look back on to evoke powerful positive emotions and memories. I shoot both lifestyle and traditional portraits and often a combination of both. Lifestyle photography is highly recommended for sessions that include children. Instead of stiff, unnatural, forced posing with unhappy kids and frustrated parents we take photos at a location that your family enjoys and we explore, play, and have a blast. I follow closely and capture each expression of wonder, discovery, and joy. Props are encouraged, and can include anything your family loves.

The image shown is an example of lifestyle photography. Collecting sand dollars with a lollipop on the beach, completely oblivious that I was even there with a camera.

Having a fabulous camera doesn’t mean that creating a fabulous final image is fast or easy. Unlike a point-and-shoot camera that "develops" your photo inside the camera, each picture that comes off my camera in RAW format looks bland and unfinished. RAW files store all of the data the camera collects and I manipulate that data on my computer to process the photo into the final product you will see. This gives you a far superior final product because I have complete control over every aspect of the photo. This is also why professional photography is so labor-intensive and costly. The final product that you see comes only after many hours of detailed post processing. During a 1 hour photo session I capture anywhere between 200-500 images that must be reviewed to find those that hold the magic we are looking for. After a thorough review, the "finalist" images are individually and lovingly processed, after which they are uploaded for you to view. You can expect a “sneak peek” of your session within a few days and a full personal gallery within 2 weeks. The Before shown here is of an adorable little guy who had chapped cheeks due to the unseasonably cold winter weather. The After image shows what the final photo looks like after processing.
